I am way too excited!
Great news for all vintage and Jenni Bowlin fans, our first shipment is due end of May, woo hoo can't wait love her stuff - might have to dig out some old stuff to stroke it again just to keep the excitement going for the next month!
Melodee's kits arrived yesterday but bah humbug they are marked in huge black writing DO NOT OPEN and today they practically screamed at me OPEN!!!!!! S'not fair....as the kids would say.
Two demo days planned for June - 5th June and 12th June - watch this space for more details, new products and stamps being showed off both days but I'll keep the rest as a secret for now!
Make and Take all sorted for the birthday bash and this little sweet project is looking just fabby!
OOPs almost forgot, we are having a crop on the 3rd of July in aid of Save the Children with a table set up with loads of goodies to buy with all the money made from the sales going to Save the Children, watch this space for the challenge for this day which will also go towards making a difference to a childs life, so spread the word as this really is for a fantastic cause and I really appreciate all the help you can give. (Right need to work out how to do a sticky on the blog now - so could be a while)!

No we didn't take the cleaning too far....
No this isn't our dirty washing this is some of the new lines of Moda fabric (with loads to follow) they are just so, so lovely that you have to have some if only to stroke and look at with admiration.....
But for the real Wow! factor check out our absolutely gorgeous window display with the rather swish lady in the corner not to mention our distressed not stressed additives with more samples etc to come in the very near future.
So a little daft competition for some stash, she's been called dummy for long enough, give her a name that fits her attire and her sparkle (she is trimmed and blinged to within an inch of her life) and the person that gives her the name that fits will win a stash prize, to be decided on the 31st March!

Absent but with good excuse
So we have been busy sorting through loads of orders with yet more to arrive in the next couple of weeks, loads of new and exciting products and a vast change in the shop by the end of the month is promised if everything goes to plan!
Spring cleaning is under way, I have a bit of OCD when it comes to cleaning and I am ashamed to admit that I have let it slip a bit, so I am on a mission!
Oh and you might like to know that Melodee is here 22nd and 23rd May, some lovely new classes for you and I have been lucky enough to see the papers for her latest creation and they are gorgeous, can't wait for the sneaky peeks! The final draft will be done by mid week and the classes will be released next Monday so stand by your inbox!

And a good time was had by all!
Well can't quite believe it but Lance has been and gone, what a genuinely lovely guy, no stress, no demands just a good time. I can't wait to get into my kits and start making my mini books, although whether I'll be able to follow and remember everything that was said will be a small miracle but it's okay because I've got him on speed dial!!!
The even better news is that Lance is going to continue to teach and the bigger and better news is that he's going to come back and see us all and more of you at the beginning of December this year, so watch this space for more news on the dates and classes with more RP product hopefully!
I want to say a huge thank you to all of you who came and supported the shop and Lance he enjoyed meeting you all and had a great time and I have to say so did I, it was great to step back and watch all the confused faces at some of the points through the classes, clear as mud!!! And thanks so much to everyone who brought gifts and Erika and Kara for the muffins so we all know who to blame for my jeans being tight (not a pretty sight)and Fiona and Angela for the sweeties so the next time I see you all I might be a dress size or two bigger and supporting new false teeth!

Update on Lance
Okay I have spoken to Lance and the idea is small and initimate classes to be held in the shop, two classes 4 - 7 pm and 7 - 10 pm, approximately, so lots of individual attention and anyone who has been lucky to experience a class by Lance will know that you laugh from start to finish. I have the photos of the classes he is proposing to teach and out of the four classes I'd do them all, as they're all really lovely but I will try and choose wisely for everyone. All of the classes are mini books.
So hopefully this makes things clearer and let me know as soon as if you want to attend.

STOP PRESS STOP PRESS
So I have a little email form celebrity scrapbooker Lance Anderson of Rusty Pickle fame, and he is wondering if any of you would be interested in doing a class with him on Tuesday 2nd March (time to be confirmed but trying for an evening)class details to follow but needless to say all of his classes that I've been lucky enough to attend have been fantastic.
Just putting my feelers out to see who would be interested in attending as he's coming a long way and would need good numbers to commit, but we could be one of his last classes if he decides not to continue teaching after the very sad close of Rusty Pickle goes through and us Aberdeenshire girls could put him through his paces and leave him with ever lasting memories of fabulousness!
So email me on simply-create@btconnect.com if you are interested....

What a whirlwind of a day....
Phew it's good to be home, a very late arrival home, have been to hospital with DD and stopped off at Costco for party supplies (loads of sweeties for energy) and got caught up in a nightmare traffic jam, only to be told on my arrival back home that sorry Mum but you need to take us to ATC (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhh!), so I am home again eventually and I am now going to work on some new classes (loads of really exciting classes coming up, my best list yet, even if I do say so myself) and we have loads of new tutors on board so I promise you won't be fed up! You really won't want to miss out. Should really type the list but I am in the mood to play and de stress!
This is a picture of the first card for the "pink challenge", thanks to Kath for taking part and I think this heor arts cupcake was in her shopping basket not so long ago, a gorgeous card, so anyone else want to take part, to win some blog candy and donate to a fabulous cause.

A Good Day to Craft.....
What a bleurgh day today, I still think I prefer this to snow if only for the reason that I can get to work (although stole the 4 x 4 today, see how DH likes it)!!!!
Debbis class is all ready to go, I would like to thank Kara publicly for all her efforts with the Stampin' Up card, she really has gone above and beyond to ensure that we were sorted out for this afternoon, so Thank You Kara, you really are the SU girl with the mostest!
As you might notice I've changed my background again, I think because it's the only thing I can do with any sort of confidence I am slightly addicted, does anyone have any suggestions as to where to go for nice templates. I am hoping to learn how to do a "sticky" and a link next, if I don'tI'll be changing by background as often as I change my undies!
Party plans are complete, justwaiting on one thing being confirmed then all the info will be up on here and sent via email, I am way too excited about the party, it promises to be a good day

Normal Service has Resumed
Did you hear me yesterday, did you feel the earth move (ooer)! Well the screaming you heard was me because I managed to get out and the earth was moving because I was jumping up and down, tinged with sadness though as I had to give up the Hero Arts boxes, Anne took them from me (insert petulant, spoit brat smiley here), she wouldn't even let me ink them all.....
Anyway just a quick post to let you know that Simply Create is back to normal - hooray!!!

So it's out with the old....
So would just like to take the chance to wish everyone a very Happy New Year, planning a very quiet night here, we hit Union Square today and visited the new cinema and the handmade burger restaurant which was lovely! Even ventured downstairs and had a look at the shops, I HATE the sales so didn't get too close but did pick up a nice shirt and cardi in Fat Face, and Madam Fluff has bought herself an itouch! Not to be outdone by her brothers!!!!!!
On the shop front, we have had some deliveries of lovely new stock and our Hero Arts delivery is AWOL in Aberdeen - bummer as I had hoped to play during the holidays, but it was meant to be as I have been working on new classes and window displays, I am bored now so desperate to get back to work and the shop and the new year....let's hope it's a good one for all of us.
Happy New Year to Everyone and a safe Hogmany if you are out and about x
